We are finally in our new house!

Well, we closed on our house December 7 and moved in December 9. Nothing that was scheduled to be completed, like the blinds, the fence, cable, phone, furniture delivers, actually took place on the scheduled day. But now, everything is complete. Check out the pictures of a few of the rooms!

2 weeks to go!

They have really been working on the house. The grass is down, the lights are in, the countertops are finished, the deck is complete and the carpet and hardwoods are done too!We only have two weeks to go till our walk through!

Wow! Look at the inside

Okay, count down- 4 weeks to go. We should have our walk through on the 30th of Nov. and close the 6th of December. Here are some pictures of the inside of the house. The cabinets in the kitchen were completed today and the floors should be in by the end of the week. The doors are in and the crown molding is also in.

October 25

The shutters are now on and the inside is really coming along. Only 5 weeks to go.

October 24

The siding is now complete and they have finished the dry wall inside the house. I got a great picture of the workers mudding on stilts.

The workers are stepping up the pace and the siding is going on.

Bricking is finished

Well, the workers have finished bricking the front of the house and it is suppose to be inspected today. They plan to start on the insulation and drywall this week.

October 6th and the roof is complete

The workers worked all day today, Saturday, October 6th and completed all the shingles on the roof. It is amazing what so many workers can complete! 8 weeks to go!

Windows

It is October 1, 2007 and all the windows are now in. If I counted correctly there are 30 windows which means lots of blinds! Enjoy the picture.

Yeah! The roof is on and it now is starting to look like a house.

Main level

The main level is now framed and there is even a wood floor down. The framing should be done in a few weeks.

Framing of Basement

We basement is now framed and the house is starting to take shape!

Cement has arrived

We now have our cement floor in the garage and basement. They will start Monday, September 17th putting the frame of the house up. It will be finished before we know it!

Gravel

The truck brough gravel in today and put gravel down where our basement floor will be and our garage.

Building Supplies

A huge pile of building supplies arrived today! I have never seen so much wood piled up. They should start framing next week.

Brick work

We no longer have spray paint but the brickwork has been finished on the foundation and looks great! Here is also a picture of the back of the foundation

Yeah!! We now have plumbing in the basement!

Okay, the foundation walls are now up and dry enough for the workers to take off the foam.

Family on the Lot

Here is a picture of the whole family standing on our lot in Pendleton Plantation. It is a little over a 1/2 acre and has a stream running beyond the trees. Both of our neighbors have already fenced their yards- YEAH! Our new address will be 107 Culpepper Lane

House News

Well, we are on our way with the building of the new house. They now have the basement foundation up and started doing some plumbing. Unfortunately it is on the wrong side so... they will have to redo it. We are hoping to close the first week of December... yeah! I will finally have my own scrapbook room.
